Kevin Durant has been out all of this season, thanks to an achilles injury he suffered during the 2019 NBA Finals, however although he has been absent on the court, he has kept himself busy off of it. Recently we have seen a leak of what is expected to be the KD 13, and even though the shoe hasn’t officially been announced, if it follows previous KD releases, it should be released sometime near the start summer.
The shoe seems to feature a nylon upper with the same high cut style, and overall shape, as previous KD models. It looks to still contain Nike’s Zoom technology in the sole, and the midsole looks to be molded around the base of the upper, to give some lateral stability. Lastly, KD’s full name is on the shoes tongue, and an over sized swoosh has been placed on the side of the model.
The KD line has been a very popular line for Nike, even after his controversy with joining the Warriors, and leaving Russel Westbrook in Oklahoma. Regardless of which team he plays for, Kevin Durant has been consistently one of the best players in the league, so it should come as no surprise that he is one Nike’s most valuable assets.
It shouldn’t be too long until Nike announces the KD 13, and if Durant can get back into shape in time for the playoffs, then hopefully we will next see them on his feet. Whether this happens or not, the shoe should be out before the next NBA season, and it will most likely retail for $150.
