Donovan Mitchell is one of the rising stars of the NBA, making his first NBA all-star appearance in February, and has been only getting better since. For this reason, Adidas gave him his first signature shoe, the D.O.N. Issue #1, last year, designed to resemble spider man, in reference to his nickname “Spida.”
As one of the cheaper models Adidas sells, the D.O.N. Issue #1 has so far been a huge success, so they have already set their sites on the sequel. Although no official word has been said, the designing process looks to be complete as many images have popped up of the shoe online.
The shoe has a low-cut, and a mesh upper, with a zigzag pattern going across the model. Donovan Mitchell’s logo can be found on the back of the shoe and the mid sole has D.O.N inscribed into it. There is also expected to be a “Crayola,” pack releasing, featuring brightly colored versions of the shoe, with the crayola branding on the out sole.
The D.O.N. Issue #1 was a solid performer on the court, especially bearing in mind the low price point, and it looks like the D.O.N Issue #2, with its similar frame and materials, should be just as good.
Although the D.O.N Issue #2 has received a mixed reception, the shoe could always change from now until its most likely release date of august this year. If you do like the shoe however, or you just need a solid performing basketball shoe, and your thinking ahead to next season, look out for the Adidas D.O.N Issue #2, with an expected price of $100
